This policy explains how cancellations, payments, service fees, disputes, and account balances are handled on the TaskCo platform.

TaskCo operates as a technology platform that connects individuals who post tasks (“Task Posters”) with individuals who accept and complete tasks (“Task Finders”).

1. Platform Service Fee

TaskCo currently charges a platform service fee of 5% on the funds held for each completed task (apply on both parties).

This fee is deducted from the payment held for the task before the remaining amount is released to the Task Finder.

TaskCo reserves the right to change the platform service fee in the future, and any updated fee will be reflected in TaskCo policies or platform terms.

2. Task Finder Minimum Balance Requirement

To maintain reliability and ensure coverage for potential cancellation or dispute-related fees, Task Finders must maintain a minimum reserve balance of $100 in their TaskCo account.

This reserve balance may be used to cover:

cancellation fees

dispute adjustments

penalties for no-shows

other platform-related charges

Task finders needs to maintain a minimum balance of $50 in order to withdraw funds. If the wallet is under $50, funds cannot be withdrawn.

Inactive accounts will not be able to accept or perform tasks on the platform.

3. Task Finder Cancellation

a. Cancellation More Than 24 Hours Before the Task

If the Task Finder cancels a task more than 24 hours before the scheduled start time:

No financial penalty will apply.

The Task Poster will be notified.

The task may be reposted on the platform.

The Task Finder’s reliability rating may be affected.

b. Cancellation Less Than 24 Hours Before the Task

If the Task Finder cancels a task less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time:

The Task Poster will receive a full refund.

The task may be reposted immediately.

The Task Finder may receive a reliability strike.

In addition, the Task Finder will be charged a small late-cancellation fee.

This fee will be deducted from the Task Finder’s available account balance and distributed as follows:

A portion will be retained by TaskCo, and A portion will be issued to the Task Poster as compensation for the late cancellation.

The exact percentage of this cancellation fee is determined by TaskCo and may change from time to time.

Repeated cancellations may result in account restrictions or suspension.

c. Task Finder No-Show

If a Task Finder fails to appear at the scheduled task time without notice:

The Task Poster will receive a full refund, or Both parties may mutually agree to reschedule the task.

TaskCo may apply reliability penalties or account restrictions to the Task Finder.

4. Task Poster Cancellation

a. Cancellation Before a Task Finder Accepts

If the Task Poster cancels a task before a Task Finder accepts it:

No fees will apply.

The task will be removed from the platform.

b. Cancellation After a Task Finder Accepts (More Than 24 Hours Before Task)

If the Task Poster cancels a task after a Task Finder has accepted it but more than 24 hours before the scheduled start time:

The Task Poster will receive a full refund.

The Task Finder will not receive compensation.

The Task Finder’s record will remain unaffected.

The Task Poster’s reliability rating may be affected.

c. Cancellation After a Task Finder Accepts (Less Than 24 Hours Before Task)

If the Task Poster cancels a task less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time:

The Task Poster will receive a 96% refund.

2% of the task value will be paid to the Task Finder as compensation.

2% of the task value will be retained by TaskCo.

Repeated late cancellations may affect the Task Poster’s reliability score or visibility on the platform.

TaskCo reserves the right to change the cancellation fee in the future, and any updated fee will be reflected in TaskCo policies or platform terms.

5. Mutual Cancellation

If both the Task Poster and Task Finder agree to cancel the task before completion:

The task will be recorded as “Mutually Canceled.”

No penalties will apply to either party.

6. Platform-Initiated Cancellation

TaskCo reserves the right to cancel any task if necessary, including but not limited to situations involving:

safety concerns

violations of platform policies

suspected fraud

misuse of the platform

operational issues

In such cases:

The Task Poster will receive a full refund.

No penalties will apply to either the Task Poster or Task Finder.

7. Disputes After Task Completion

a. Dispute Filed Within 48 Hours

If a dispute is filed within 48 hours after the task is marked complete:

Payment may be temporarily held by TaskCo.

TaskCo will review the dispute and available information.

Possible outcomes include:

Full refund to the Task Poster

Payment released to the Task Finder

Partial refund and partial payment depending on the circumstances

b. Dispute Filed After 48 Hours

If no dispute is submitted within 48 hours after the task is marked complete:

The task will be considered successfully completed.

Payment will be released to the Task Finder.

8. Incorrect Task Information Provided by the Task Poster

If a task cannot be completed because the Task Poster provided incorrect, misleading, or incomplete information, and the Task Finder has already arrived at the task location:

The Task Finder will receive a 2% inconvenience fee.

TaskCo will retain 3% of the task value.

The Task Poster will receive the remaining partial refund.

Repeated violations may lead to account restrictions or suspension.

TaskCo reserves the right to change the fees in the future, and any updated fee will be reflected in TaskCo policies or platform terms.

9. Payment Holding and Release

Payments for tasks are held securely by TaskCo’s payment processor until:

the task is marked complete, and the dispute window has expired or any disputes have been resolved.

After completion, the applicable platform service fee will be deducted, and the remaining funds will be released to the Task Finder.

10. Platform Authority

TaskCo reserves the right to determine the outcome of cancellations, disputes, refunds, penalties, and payment releases at its sole discretion, based on platform policies, available information, and fairness considerations.

11. Payment Authorization and Chargeback Agreement

By submitting payment through the TaskCo platform, the Task Poster authorizes TaskCo and its payment processor to hold, process, and release payments according to TaskCo’s policies, including cancellation and dispute procedures.

Once a task is marked as completed or the dispute window has expired, the Task Poster authorizes the release of funds to the Task Finder, subject to applicable platform service fees.

Payments processed through the platform are considered authorized transactions, and the Task Poster agrees not to initiate a chargeback or payment reversal for services that were completed in accordance with TaskCo policies.

12. Chargeback and Payment Dispute Policy

If a Task Poster initiates a chargeback or payment dispute with their bank or payment provider after using the TaskCo platform:

TaskCo reserves the right to investigate the dispute and submit evidence to the payment processor.

The Task Poster’s account may be temporarily suspended during the investigation.

If the chargeback is determined to be invalid or abusive, TaskCo may recover the disputed amount and any associated fees from the user’s account balance.

TaskCo may also restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts involved in fraudulent or abusive chargebacks.

13. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to the use of the TaskCo platform, including payments, cancellations, or services provided through the platform, shall first be submitted to TaskCo for review and resolution.

If the parties are unable to resolve the matter through TaskCo, the dispute shall be resolved through binding arbitration rather than in court.

Arbitration will be conducted by a recognized arbitration provider and will take place in the jurisdiction determined by TaskCo’s Terms of Service.

14. Class Action Waiver

By using the TaskCo platform, users agree that any disputes will be resolved on an individual basis only.

Users agree not to participate in class actions, collective lawsuits, or representative proceedings against TaskCo.

Each user waives the right to have disputes heard in a court of law or to participate in a class-action lawsuit.

15. Policy Updates

TaskCo may modify this Cancellation, Pricing, and Payment Policy at any time.

Continued use of the platform after any modification constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
