How are Taskers verified?
To help promote trust and safety, Taskers must complete a verification process before being approved on Taskco. This process may include submitting a valid government-issued ID or driver’s license, creating a profile that describes their services and rates, and linking a bank account for payments through our payment processor.
Profiles may be reviewed by our team before a Tasker can begin accepting tasks. These verification steps are intended to help reduce fraud and improve trust on the platform. However, Taskco does not independently verify every detail provided by users and cannot guarantee the conduct or performance of individual Taskers.
Is my payment secure?
Absolutely, payments on Taskco are processed through Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor. When you hire a Tasker, the payment is authorized and held securely until the task is marked complete and you confirm the work.
If there is a dispute or delay, Taskco may review the situation and help facilitate a resolution before payment is released. Taskco does not store your full card details. Payment information is handled by Stripe and transmitted using industry-standard security and encryption.
What if I don’t confirm a task?
If you forget or are unable to confirm a task after the Tasker marks it complete, Taskco’s system will automatically release the payment 48 hours later to ensure fair treatment for both parties. This gives you time to review the work, and protects Taskers from unnecessary delays. If there’s an issue or dispute, you can contact our support team before the auto-release to pause the payment and investigate.
Can I use Taskco as both Poster and Tasker?
Yes! Taskco gives you the flexibility to use the same account for both roles. You can post tasks when you need help and switch to offering services when you’re available to work. Simply complete the Tasker onboarding process (including ID verification and profile setup) to activate your Tasker profile. Switching between roles is seamless, giving you full control based on your needs.
Are Taskers employees of Taskco?
No. Taskers are independent service providers who operate their own businesses. Taskco is a technology platform that connects users and does not employ Taskers or control how they perform their work.
What fees does Taskco charge?
Taskco may charge a service fee for facilitating transactions on the platform. Fees are clearly displayed before payment and help support secure payments, customer support, and platform operations.
What happens if a task is cancelled?
If a task is cancelled before work begins, payments held will typically be refunded to the Task Poster. Cancellation policies may vary depending on the timing and circumstances of the cancellation.
How are disputes handled?
If a disagreement occurs between a Task Poster and a Task Finder, Taskco may review available information and help mediate the issue. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, it may be handled according to the dispute resolution process described in our Terms of Service.
Does Taskco guarantee task quality?
No. Taskco provides a platform that connects users. Task quality depends on the individual Tasker. Users should review profiles, ratings, and communicate clearly before hiring.
Is Taskco responsible for damages or injuries?
Taskco is a technology platform that connects users with independent service providers. Taskco does not supervise or control how services are performed and is not responsible for injuries, damages, or losses resulting from tasks arranged through the platform.
What types of tasks are not allowed?
Certain services may be restricted or prohibited on Taskco for safety and legal reasons. These may include illegal activities, dangerous services, or tasks that violate our platform policies.
Why do Task Finders need to keep $100 in their account?
To keep the marketplace reliable and fair for everyone, TaskCo requires Task Finders to maintain a minimum reserve balance of $100 in their account.
This small reserve helps cover situations where something goes wrong with a task, such as:
last-minute cancellations
no-shows
dispute adjustments
refunds that may need to be issued to a Task Poster
Your reserve balance still belongs to you and can be withdrawn as long as the account maintains the required minimum.
If a Task Finder withdraws funds and their balance falls below the $100 reserve, the account may temporarily become inactive until the minimum balance is restored. While inactive, the Task Finder will not be able to accept new tasks.
This system helps ensure that Task Posters are protected and that the platform remains reliable for everyone.
What happens if my balance drops below $100?
Your account may become temporarily inactive until the minimum reserve balance is restored. Once the balance is back to $100 or more, your account can resume accepting tasks.
